Capturing a loved one’s memories is the key to producing a unique and personal tribute to their life. Often when we lose a loved one those memories too are lost forever.
As families are now beginning to feel increasingly more comfortable in discussing funeral arrangements with their loved ones I am now being asked more and more to produce what I call a ‘living tribute’.
A living tribute involves me meeting with a family and their loved one to plan in advance their funeral service and to sensitively listen to their life story and share memories to create a personal celebration of their life in the way they would wish to be remembered.
This information is then kept on file and ready to be shared with their chosen Funeral Director at the appropriate time when the day for their service finally arrives.
Not only does a living tribute help create the funeral service that meets exactly the wishes of a loved one but also removes the additional stress and sadness for the family having to plan the service at a time of loss and grieving.
